Rogue Engineer Style Deep Seat Cushion Chairs

I built deep seat cushion chairs for myself and my parents, based off of plans by Rogue Engineer.
These chairs are made to be used with deep seat cushions, which are super comfy.
I modified the plans to use 1x6s which are sturdier, and gave me much wider arm rests which are good for drink coasters and phone rests. I extended the arm rests by two inches and added a rounded front edge and a bevel on the back to bring it in line with the rest of the chair.
I also made the chairs four inches taller to make them easier to get out of and lowered the arm rest height by three inches for comfort.
These chairs are super comfy, both myself and my parents really enjoy them.

  • Hello there, RYOBI Nation!
I definitely look forward to using these chairs for a long time.
I find myself spending more time on my patio, just to sit in the chairs.

  • WOW nice chairs. Original thinking and personal innovation for your parents. Chairs seem sturdy and very comfortable. Good job thinking outside the box.
