Rocking Horse

I first decided to get into woodworking when my wife became pregnant with our daughter about two years ago. I wanted to be able to build nice things for her instead of just buying her lots of plastic toys. One of the main goals was to be able to build a rocking horse that she would enjoy and then someday pass it along to her kids. I decided that her first birthday was a good goal and would be a perfect time to give it to her, so I bought some plans, and got started. It is by far the most involved project I've ever made, and wasn't quite done in time for her birthday, but the look on her face when she rode it for the first time made it all worthwhile. I will definitely be building a lot more for her in the future.
