Retro Robot Toy Chest

My son loves old-school robots. Unfortunately, he also loves leaving his toys all over his room. So, I designed and built him this one-of-a-kind "toy chest" that he now plays pretend with almost as much as the toys he keeps in them. Everything on this robot was made from scratch, with some repurposed components, such as the paint roller grate "chest" panels or drain pipe arms. My Ryobi drill press was clutch in attaching the 5 doors with concealed cabinet hinges, and my Ryobi router and table helped soften the corners and edges with chamfers and angular details that fit the overall theme. If only this thing could have walked itself upstairs!
