Rescuer's Dream

I have been involved in rescue for years. I built a dog bed for my grand-dog. The rescue I work with most recently had to go to another state and pick up 21 dogs that were in a horrible situation. Being a smaller rescue we did not have funds for this and immediately started thinking of ways to raise money. I decided to make a toy/supply/bunk bed so that our foster volunteers would have more room. We decided we would auction it off for funds. While building it, I saw your contest and worked around the clock for the past week to finish it for this contest. If we could auction it as the "Ryobi Nation Dog Days of Summer Project Winner" it would validate a larger donation. The main reason it took so long was the angle of the stairs and keeping the integrity of the original size so that it will still serve its purpose of a foster volunteer being able to take "just one more".

  • I love this doggie bunk bed and your reason for building it. Best of luck!
