We wanted a coffee table in our living room, but wanted something custom and unique. We had some tongue and groove wood from a barn that was built in the 1950's. Based on the grain, the wood was at least 60 years old when it was cut down, so the wood is now over 120 years old. We decided to not use any hardware, so we used biscuits and glue to put the whole thing together. The top and bottom are 7 separate boards joined and glued and the legs have notches to support the shelf. The top is also connected with biscuits and it turned out amazing. We used our Ryobi router to give a nice, consistent edge to all pieces.
