Originally a handcrafted barn in Pennsylvania that was deconstructed, several pieces were transported down to Florida by a friend of mine's father-in-law with our intention of repurposing it and building a custom, one of a kind, bar with wall shelves above. Having been the first time building a bar and only having some ideas/pictures, I wasn't sure where to begin. After some research, we knew the average bar height and typical countertop overhang for bar stools, but not much more than that and decided to just start cutting the height for all the corner post and let the rest evolve from there. Intending to put a concrete countertop on, I also knew the actual structure and framing needed to be able to withstand the weight.
