Raised Garden Beds

Due to poor quality of soil in our area and reaching the age when stooping and squatting have become pretty painful, I decided that raised beds would be a good idea. I did not have a design in mind but developed the beds as I began working. I’m not sure how many hours this project took, but I worked on it a few hours at a time over a few weekends. I used my Ryobi drill, impact driver and saw. I found that my Ryobi 18 volt impact driver was the most helpful tool used. I was able to fasten the boards together without damaging any screw heads. In the next few weeks, I hope to be able to share another picture of the beds full of vegetables.

Those are really cool! My wife decided she wanted a veggie garden and I told her the only kind I would consider was raised; but we bought 3 ready to assemble 4x4 cedar beds that could be joined but separated so as to plant different crops. They lasted a couple of years and were a lot of fun, but as we are up in years, the weeds became a problem and the wood started deteriorating. THANK YOU so much!! for your comment on our kitchen. One day we'll finish the rest of the house. (still working) KNUCKLEBUSTER
