Project Make My Son Proud

This is in my son's room & I could not be more excited to present my completed wood wall. This mammoth project was definitely a labor of love as each piece of wood (89 pieces) was nailed (close to 300 nails) & stained by hand - yep, all 100 sq feet of it. They did it in the olden days - right? You can bet in the off chance I win, I am getting a nail gun. I loved the finished results as I was trying to create a "lodge (he loves to fish) feel" room. I used 1/4 underlayment cut down to 6"x 8' strips (Home Depot) in which I cut down with my compound miter saw into 4' segments (yes, I do have some equipment). I added construction adhesive & hand nailed each piece. Lastly, I then added wood filler, sanded & stained. I also want to mention that I made the desk to complete this rustic industrial feel room. Hope you like what you see! Regardless, I am truly grateful for the opportunity & I am so appreciative to share with the Ryobi community.
