Power Room Complete Makeover

We purchased a brand new home exactly a year ago; but all the rooms were pretty bland. Was told to wait a year to let the house settle before doing much. First thing I wanted to do was do a big makeover of the powder room as it's one of the most used and seen rooms!

Did a lot of picture surfing for inspiration. Being a new homeowner, I don't own many tools so purchased my first Ryobi miter saw and stand and wanted to put it to use!

Painted the room, and wanted to put up board and batten to break up the tall 9 foot ceiling in a small powder room. Used 3 inch wide pine for the board and batten, 2 inch for the trim and some trim to round it out. Project was a lot harder then I expected! Mostly so because it was my first home project.

I am more then happy with the results and guests have really loved it!

    • Thanks! Definitely trying to line everything up and make sure everything was level, and the trim looked smooth from wall to wall. Measure 10 times, cut 1!
