When I saw this porch swing on Shanty 2 Chic's tutorials, I knew it was what was missing from our porch. The only problem was, we live in a "barndominium", you know... a barn converted into a house/workshop. There aren't a lot of support structures on the porch sturdy enough to support the swing. Fortunately there is one corner of the porch that has the perfect I-beam to hang it from...and the perfect view! It was a quick weekend project that came out beautifully! The only thing I wish I would've done differently is to stain it before I put it together instead of afterward. We spend a lot of evenings on our new swing enjoying the perfect breeze while we watch the sunset.
