Melissa's porch swing

My project that I built is a porch swing for my wife, she had been looking for one for some time but none of what she could buy were perfect. She was sending me pictures of different ones often and pointing out what she liked and didn’t like. I decided she deserved something from the heart built with my hands. I already had some idea of what she was looking for, so I sketched out a few things and started building.

I used mild steel, as we live in the dry desert of California and wanted something that would last a lifetime. The seating part does have cedar, I did seal it with Thompsons water seal, the steel is clear coated to keep it raw and rust free.

I was right she absolutely loved it and the personalization that I added to it, there is an A for Alfonso our last name in the back, and when you are facing the swing on the upper right mounting bracket is V+M. Everyone that has come over has commented on how amazing it is and how lucky she is.
