Pool Deck

This deck was a 3/4 wrap around of my 30' pool ending up at 1500 square feet in size. This deck was a challenge for a couple reasons, I never built a deck and the biggest challenge was there were no reference points from which to measure for square and plumb construction. I started with a can of survey paint and approx. dimensions of what I was looking to end with. I then marked the pylons which I put in 41 holes 12"x 3.5 feet deep to support the structure. There was another challenge of building a frame structure around the pool, once this was completed it was straight forward framing. The decking was another challenge when cutting the deck boards to conform to the round pool was time consuming at best a lot of modifications to all the deck boards that meet the pool edge.
