When I moved into my first apartment, I was in need of a piece that would be multi-functional for entertaining, but also serve as a focal piece. I have a monthly poker night with friends, and so the idea for this poker table / bar came to mind. I took and old dresser for my base, and a single sheet of plywood for the top. First I removed the drawers and the top and cut the base down to table height. I then joined the sides with a shelf in place of the drawers. I then cut my top into a hexagon using sides equal in length to the width of my base. I then cut it into a rectangle and two trapazoids, joined with hinges, and attached to the base.
