From go s point of view

This was a very inspirational project for me, because when I watch the news this is what I picture God looking down on the Earth and crying. With all the wars and violence. From all governments all the way down to some of the children, It is really a sad world today. I glued strips of walnut together alternating the grain so it would never warp and spent hours on hours meticulously carving all of it with hand carving tools that were made in the 1800's and to smooth I used what I call mop sanding disc's that I made myself just attach to a screw gun and lightly sand carved surface. I made mine from a large version you can buy but because of the delicacy of carved wood and the difficulty sanding these made it a lot easier.

  • This is really beautiful work! How neat that you're using vintage carving tools. Your tip about eliminating warping by alternating the grain is a really useful note for woodworkers. Thank you for sharing your work with us!
