An 8-ft wide x 32-ft long x 4-ft deep swimming pool constructed with 3/4th inch treated plywood sheets for sides and floor, and 4x4 treated upright posts set 2-ft in the ground. The liner is an inexpensive plastic tarp installed with no seams by folding over the excess in each of the 4 corners. A sand fillet was used under the liner at the pool walls-to floor joining. A concrete patio adjoining the pool was mixed from ‘Concrete Mix’ bags using a mixer rented from Home Depot. All materials came from Home Depot. All the construction was done by the homeowner, one 80 year old man. The pool has a rain water collection system ducting roof water from the main house rear area. This is usually sufficient to keep the pool full at the 3.5-ft depth inside the 4-ft high pool walls.
