Planter box for vegetables

My kids have always wanted to plant and grow vegetables so I decided to build them a planter box that was the perfect height for them to water/pick the veggies. I started out with a plan in my head and roughed out the dimensions on a piece of paper. A trip to the local big box store uncovered a great deal on leftover lumber so I was able to pick up all the redwood I needed for the project for $15! The project took an afternoon to build and the kids and family just love it. We also installed a drip line to the plants so we have the watering on a timer. We have planted carrots, cucumbers and peppers and we can't wait to start enjoying them. I now plan to build a corresponding planter box for some tomato plants! The only tools I used were a drill, screws and a miter saw and I could not be happier with the outcome!
