My son is in Cub Scouts Pack 42, Hope, RI and we needed to build his Pinewood Derby car. He wanted an Army Humvee. So I looked online for designs and came across a few. We traced the design onto the pinewood derby block. I then cut it out using my Ryobi Job Plus tool with a scroll saw attachment. We then filed and sanded it down to finished specification. I then used my Ryobi Rotor Table to bore out the inside so that we could insert the derby weight. Next I applied wood putty and sanded some more and then painted it. Then we applied the decals. We used my Tek4 Screwdriver to drill some holes for some accessories. Next we polished the wheels and axels using my Ryobi 18V Lithium-Ion drill. Race day was this past Sunday March 4, 2012 and he took 3rd prize. We are now entered into the Derby Regionals on March 24, 2012.
