This past Christmas, I got a hedgehog (his name is Sherlock - he's awesome) and the standard plastic enclosure just didn't seem right so I decided to build him something nicer. It is a modular design that stacks. This allows to give him more square footage later by adding a second floor. It is framed with pocket holes, has changeable panel inserts, and fold out glass panes for ease of access. All of his toys and supplies store neatly in the bottom cabinets and a lid finishes it off. Later I can just build another tank level and stack it on top.
