While remodeling our master bedroom suite, the space for our old bedroom closet (in the wall between the bedroom and the kitchen) became available. To increase storage in our galley kitchen, I designed and constructed a pantry to fill the old closet space that now opens into the kitchen. The case (constructed of 3/4" Birch veneer cabinet grade plywood) is 65" w X 81" h X 28" d. The unit is divided into three main compartments, left third has 5 pull out shelves fronted with 2 doors that pull out in one unit on 24" full extension guides. The right top two thirds have two cupboards with adjustable shelves and fronted with panel doors. The right bottom two thirds has three pull out drawers each 40" w X 12" h X 26" d. The face frame, door frames, and drawer fronts are air dried maple that I milled on site. The total project required 5 sheets of 3/4", 2 sheets of 1/2" and 3 sheets of 1/4" cabinet grade birch plywood and 6 maple boards about 10' X 8" X 1". I have a complete set of sketches and cut lists for this project. The hardware matches the rest of our kitchen cabinets. Due to our galley kitchen it is difficult to get a good straight on picture.
