I work with reclaimed materials. When I saw the challenge I dismissed it as out of my league. Then I had a second thought. No one ever enters these challenges using reclaimed materials! I have been working with reclaimed materials the last couple of years, and thought why not. It's not fancy but it does the job. With the exception of the dowel rods for the towel rod and the axle, every thing is reclaimed. That includes the screws and nails that were used in this project. I think if I had more time I could have added a couple more features. I was late in doing this project so I didn't get to show it off yet except for a few family members. The response was the same all around, "I want that" and "Why didn't you tell me you could make that". Well cause I didn't know. OK, maybe I kinda knew. I've been doing woodwork for 30+ years. Just never tried it with reclaimed materials. Today is my Birthday, 58. Wonder what else I can transform?
