We made this pallet nightstand for our guest bedroom. I was unhappy with the nightstand we had and wanted an inexpensive but beautiful alternative. We did a little drawing to come up with the design. We got a pallet from a local home construction site that they were just throwing away. We utilized the reciprocating saw method to deconstruct the pallet - just cut through all the nails and it comes apart super fast. After that it was a matter of cutting boards to length and getting everything put together. Working with imperfect wood made this take longer, but we don't have a jointer or planer and love the rustic vibe this project has.
