I needed a coffee table for our backyard so I decided to go with a rustic modern design.
Half inch plywood was used as the base of the table and some 1x4" boards cut at a 45 degree angle was used on top to give that chevron pattern. I used different color minwax stains and randomly stained the boards (mixing and matching some stains as well) to give it that rustic look. For a midcentury modern touch, I decided to use some metal hairpin legs. I sealed it off with some glossy spar urethane. It turned out looking great in our backyard.
The size of the table is 4'x 2' and about 17" tall.
Feel free to ask me any questions :)
