I got these plans off Ana White's website, but changed it to fit the pillows I bought from P*tteryBarn. This was really easy, but hard at the same time. I usually build things with right angles, but this one introduced 15degree angles. The other challenge was picking out the right wood to use outside. The guys at the lumber yard suggested white oak, which turned out to be a really easy wood to work with.

  • This looks great! Very fresh and inviting. What kind of finish did you use?

  • I haven't finished it with anything yet, but plan on using an outdoor polyurethane in satin. I don't want to stain since I like the color of the white oak. This chair will ultimately be placed in direct Houston sun, and will definitely be damaged if not sealed.
