we bought this old office building last october. We decided to turn it into our new home. All together we ended up getting 13.5 acers, 3 barns, good water well, and a few old cars. When we got our plans, we went ahead gutted the entire office building. The building had only one 4'x4' bath, with only a toilet and a sink. It had 3 offices and 1 conference room. And a 10'x12' entry way. The front porch measured 11'x7'. ( Did I mention that this place sat vacant for of 20 years!!!!!) The first thing we did after the total gut job was, handle the termite damage. When looking close we noticed that all the entior was loadbearing and all needed replaced. So I went to work. I made a laundry room out of the old porch, a bathroom out of the old entryway. The kitchen is a 14' square room. The living area is 19'x14' so is our bedroom. The boys room is 14' square. The bath is a 10'x2'. Pretty roomy for a 2 bedroom. So far we got new walls, wire, plumbing, hvac and doors, insulation. New windows to come next summer. Sheetrock is next weekend!!!!!!!!!!
