Had very sunny porch and an old fishing village I saw in the 1970s in Destin, FL had a shade area like this. I thought it would be a good idea to shade my porch. This was built using privacy fence pickets for the roof louvres. Now my front porch is shaded and this roof lets in air flow.

  • The most useful were the Ryobi drills, ( I have two).  Holes were drilled on each rafter for every louver board and screwed on.  Having 2 drills helped because I was able to drill and screw without changing bits.
