Office Window Seat & Storage Bench

I really needed some storage space in my small office, but there wasn't alot of room. My window is quite large, so I decided to make a window seat that sits underneath it with cubbies to store stuff in. This is made from maple plywood and pine 1x2s. The biggest challenge was that I didn't have a table saw at the time, so I got Home Depot to cut the plywood in 16" wide strips. This way I could fit it in my car. I still had issues with cross-cutting the pieces to fit, so in retrospect, I should have had them cut all the pieces to size. I now have a table saw so it won't be a problem in future. I got the idea from Ana White's site and used just one portion of her child's storage bed for this. I also purchased the foam top from home depot and covered it with a table cloth I had. I'm really pleased with the way it came out and it gave me so much more storage.
