Built a new deck for my grandparents! Their old deck swayed when you walked or sat on it, and it was just ready to fall at any moment. I Removed the old structure that was built in 1972 and re-built a more stable, and larger one in its place. It stands 7ft. High, 16ft. across, and 8ft. wide. The frame is made entirely of PT 2x10s and 2x6s all hung using Strong-ties, and the decking material is Trex 16' composite decking boards. The build went well, and I only used my trusty Ryobi One+ cordless tools for the entire build. The grandparents love their new deck, and I was surprised at just how well the Ryobi 18v tools performed. The P108 batteries lasted all day in the impact driver and the reciprocating saw, and easily six hours in the jigsaw and circular saw. I know I can trust my tools to do big jobs like this, and I already have another deck job lined up for next week! Overall, I am impressed with the ability of the Ryobi tools, and I am very happy with the look of the finished product!
