I had never touched a power tool in my life. Intimidation and fear stood in my way. I grew up in a family where the men all worked with tools and the girls all learned to cook. I was walking thru our house one morning and realized almost all of the walls in our house are bare. I have always had a passion for making homemade gifts-whether it be cookies, paintings, cards, etc. My parents recently took down an old barn they had on their farm. I wanted to use the wood to have a piece of my childhood memories from all the fun times we had in the barn. I previously had envisioned having a picture of the two boys who stole my heart up on the wall. I couldn't find a frame that I loved, so I decided I was going to give power tools a try and use the wood from the barn. My father explained the safety and troubleshooting of the tools and I did the rest. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I love seeing my two hearts on the wall every morning.
