My take on board and batten :)

We just created a walk in closet/dressing room in our master with a walk through entrance (no door). I put 1/4 inch wood on the wall and cut 1/2 inch mdf into strips to create this look. There's more to be done for our room but I'm very proud and pleased with how it came out. Added a picture of one of the bedside wall lamps since I just finished painting today and couldn't wait to install it!

  • Great craftsmanship on this board and batten wall! The addition of the lamps are nice! What was the most difficult part of this project?

    • Getting my husband to agree to cutting our room down by 1/4 to make the big closet! Haha!  It was really hard to decide on my batten design since I didn't want anything common/farmhouse but wanted an accent wall behind the bed.  We actually returned those lamps and have new ones to install that will work better and I need to get the floating nightstands (with a built in switch wired on the side because the new lamps don't have a switch on them).  It's hard to say what is hardest sometimes!  I'll spend a lot of time just staring at the progression of a project to decide what to do next so it all just seems fun! Ha!
