Mudroom Nook

We moved into our house two years ago and had plans to create some type of area where all our coats, shoes and other simple items could be stored. We had the perfect nook just off the garage and next to the laundry, but we weren't quite sure how we wanted to use the space. Well, it took a while to get to it but we finally came up with a design and finished and it is so much nicer not to have just a pile of stuff on the floor. The bench is functional to sit on but also helps because the little ones can climb up and hang up their clothes themselves. Since we live in Utah, we have many coats (hence a lot of hooks) and the overhead bins are perfect for hats, gloves and scarves. Took a while to finish but well worth the time and effort.
