Mudroom Bench and Lockers

I built the mudroom bench and lockers because I got tired of looking at shoes, bags, and coats all over the place every time I walked into the house from the garage. We were in despirated need of getting organized and this was my solution, which has paid off. I built four lockers and drawers for my wife and I as well as my two kids. My wife and kids love them because they each get their own spot to put their things. Some of my friends and family who have seen the mudroom bench are amazed that I built it and want me to build them one.

The most difficult part of this project was building the drawers as well as the drawer fronts. They were definitely the most time consuming part of the project because I built them all from scratch; nothing was bought pre-assemble. However, the hard work and effort on the drawers were well worth it as they keep us organized and are a great place for keeping our shoes, hats, and gloves.

  • Awesome work! This really could not be better. Love the way you brought the tops of the shelving all the way to the ceiling too- that adds a really rich, quality element to the finished look. It pairs perfectly with your storage bench project as well. Did you create this design from scratch?
