This bed was built for my daughter and husband for their new home. She wanted a custom made bed tall enough for the side tables she had bought. It is based off farmhouse bed plans. The headboard is about 6 ft tall. I used a gray stain then flat white paint with two clear gloss acrylic coat with minimal distressing for the gray to show through. She gets many comments on this bed and I have had several requests for orders. I am recently new to woodworking but i am thoroughly enjoying this satisfying hobby. This project probably took me about 30 hours to make but it was the middle of summer in Louisiana so i had to wait a little longer in between finishes.
