Mom's Deck

  • April 24, 2017

My elderly Mother had a small (36" x 36") landing at her front door with several steep stairs. When she had hip surgery, I new she couldn't handle it. So now she has no steps and a sitting area which she enjoys immensely.

  • Is there a "how-to" for this? Is it attached or freestanding?

  • Hello, Thanks for viewing my project. The whole deck and ramp is free standing with nothing attached to the home. I have been in construction all my life and I pretty much just sketched what I wanted and went from there, made a lumber list etc. The size that I made was determined by the area between awning and the pitch of the ramp. Let me know if I can help you out and again thanks.
