Minnie Mouse Rocker

I saw some Minnie Mouse aderandak chairs on Ana White's website, and since my granddaughter is a huge Minnie Mouse fan, I wanted to make her something like the one I saw, but for indoors in her room, so I added my own twist to it. I found some old chair parts, mainly the spindles and stretchers since I don't have a lathe, and built the rest. Once it was done I made and attached rockers to it, then I made the ears and bow tie out of old paneling, then the arms, which I cut out gloved hands on the ends. Primed, painted and polyed it, added polka dots and inscribed it. I then took a bath scrunchie and unraveled it to make the dress. I gave it to her this past weekend and she loved, in fact once she sat down in it she didn't want to get up, everyone had to bring her stuff to her, and even mom caved in and let her eat lunch in the chair. I think that is the best review I ever received, gotta love it, it makes it worth it.
