Mikey's box steps

At 12 and large for his breed, Mikey has had a hard time getting up and down the small garage steps to the backyard the last few months. I had an idea of what would work for steps that were large enough for him, but had to search for information on how to build it so it would be sturdy.
It's mom's house and Mikey is her pride and joy so she had to sign off on this.
This is my third project after a printer stand for my husband and mom's bird feeders for Christmas.
It was very cold and rainy while I worked on the steps, and learned my new table saw in the garage for ripping the 2 x 8 pressure treated base pieces down an inch plus. I had to get the steps just right so Mikey wouldn't trip going up or hop up or down, hurting his back and joints in the process. Springers evidently spring onto and off of stairs. We're all very happy with the outcome.
While this project was hard for me as I learned everything the hard way as I went along, I feel that the concept is easy for someone with experience.
