This project was inspired of course by Shanty 2 Chic. It was built Oct of 2017 for my Mommafor Christmas she has always wanted a table like this she was close to going and spending about $2200 for one but we sneakingly got her mind off of it. But anyways I saw the video and kept watching it and said gotta do it! So my wife printed all the steps and material lists for me and we took off to Home Depot. Loaded everything up and went home. First thing done was measure and cut all the boards, which made it alot easier to rip them(also learned how to from Shanty2Chic). Then began to drill all the pocket holes(also Shanty2Chic) took some time but goter done. Then started to put it all to Get her follow the very easy steps and blue prints, spent ALOT of time with sanding honestly if it was for me I would have been eh that'll work, but it was for my Momma and she deserves the best so I kept sanding. Picked out a grey stain and guess where I learned to apply that you guessed it Shanty2Chic, applied about 5 coats. Then applied the poly which maybe took 3 coats. Waited for it to dry then applied all the nice hardware that was painted flat black and on x-mas eve we told Momma to go to her room and we blocked the door so she wouldn't try to sneak out, moved the table, bench and chairs(Wal-Mart), then called her out and all she said was oh guys and began to cry! And get this she thought we bought it, then I gave her the picture album we made starting from day 1 at home depot and told her 1 last picture and and we took it with all of us around her and her new table. And we'll I hope y'all like it and Thanks so much Shanty2Chic girls y'all are awesome!
