Lumber Cart

This was inspired from plans on Pinterest. The plans called for a 4' long Cart but I decided it should be 6' long to better support 8' lumber. I also widened the Cart by 3" to allow for more sheet good storage. I reinforced the base with a few cross members and pocket screws. The Cart holds all the stacked lumber cut off's that I had laying around as well as the 8' lumber. Once loaded it is extremely heavy and my only regret was not using larger wheels.

  • Does it try to tip much on you?  Looks very nice and very functional.  I might have to try something like this.  Great job!

    • It is very steady as the wheels are out in the four corners. Bigger wheels (5") would be easier to move all the weight.
