This courtyard was previously a mix of volcanic rock surrounding a small sidewalk. It was virtually unusable. I removed the sidewalk and rock, and placed a low deck and side seating in the courtyard. I used RYOBI 18V drills (impact and standard drill as pictured) for the entire finish out of the deck supports and decking. The most difficult portion was debris removal and setting in concrete of 18 support 4 x 4 posts, adding the decking was a snap with the Ryobi impact for utilizing 3" decking screws. My 4-year-old son assisted in the final touches with the decking (as pictured).
