I was wanting to add some spice to my new construction home. A formal living room which was missing the "living room" part; The concept was simple, create something my family and I could live around. Being the carpentry novice that I am, I found inspiration on the internet and gathered my ryobi miter saw and ryobi drill and began creating. Cutting the pine wood to size and contemplating angle cuts, my journey began. Carefully centering my 5' x 4' pine boards and removing existing baseboards and I drilled the pine to the wall studs. Priming, precise angle cuts, caulking and high gloss paint; my first masterpiece a genuine "Living room". The thought of spending Christmas with my daughter and enjoying our living room is now a reality.
