My Wife and I were looking for a unique table to put in the foyer of our new home. We could not find exactly what we wanted in a completed table. We then had an idea to use a live edge slab and create a table. We visited a few wood shops and stumbled across two fantastic pieces of White Ash live edge boards. We purchased those with the intent of joining them and cutting down to a 5 foot long table. We also had inspiration with seeing a few metal leg tables and then making it simple by using black iron pipe. The project was a lot of fun but had a few challenges to overcome. I had no idea that joining the live edge boards would be such a challenge and ended up doing it twice. Clamping a angled edge was very difficult. The end result as you can see is beautiful. I love sharing the pictures with all my friends and coworkers.
