Live edge bench

After purchasing a lift of live edge lumber at a local auction we were at a bit of a loss with just what to do with it, then came the idea of using it as the seat for our standard benches. These are an easy project but look nice and give a rustic feel.

  • Beautiful work! The look of live edge lumber is really rustic and timeless. What method did you use to affix the lumber to the base?

    • On this one we drilled through the seat into the base then filled the holes prior to staining, it's hard to see with the grain however using pocket holes on the legs would also be an option
