Little bar cart

We moved into a new, bigger house at the end of 2016. While we had cabinet space for all sorts of glassware, I didn't want to hog the counter with bottles, mixers, and such, so building a bar cart was decided. I wanted to have a shelf designated strictly for glassware and then the bottom shelf for my wine holder and mixers. While I planked the top of the bar cart longways, I wanted the shelves to have planks perpinduclar to its supports. The challenge was trying to screw in the pocket holes on the short aprons because the legs were in the way! A lot of manual screwing of 2.5" kreg screws was done. Also, this was the first time to use a brad nailer to secure the shelving. While it I waited in between coats of stain and paint, this was a fairly quick project to do! I was also able to attach a vintage bottle opener at the end to add a little extra flair!

  • Great idea! Adding the bottle opener to the side is a perfect touch.
