Lemon Tree Greenhouse

My wife needed a place to keep her potted plants safe and alive during the winter months, especially her Meyers Lemon Tree. The pre-fab solutions we found online either had doors that were too narrow or were simply too expensive. We decided to build one from scratch after looking up free plans on the web. As a finishing touch, we commissioned an original piece of stained glass art.

  • Jason, this is a gorgeous greenhouse! Great work! How are the lemon trees surviving the cold this winter?

    • Thank you! We're quite proud of it. My wife loves how warm it gets during the day, and it's a great home for some many of her plants. I wish I could upload additional photos.

The lemon tree is thriving. This recent cold is causing some trouble though. We tried to heat the greenhouse with a small space heater. Those things will really run up an electric bill! Right now we've had to move the lemon to the garage. Hopefully it will be able to return to the greenhouse soon.

    • We would love to see more photos! If you would like to upload, go into your RYOBI Nation account (the person icon at the top right of the screen), select My Projects, and choose to EDIT your project. There's a notice that the project will come down until you make your edit and resubmit it for approval. We will review, approve, and it will be live with the added images. You won't have to re-enter existing information. Thanks so much for sharing the project with us!
