The laundry room before was a disaster of non-function. The laundry sink didn't drain properly, the storage options were virtually non-existant, and after 7 years it was the only room in the house still sporting 'builder beige.'
To start, we replaced the old dryer, which meant we were able to install a counter top above the laundry appliances to serve as a work surface that is ideal for folding clothes
From there, we said goodbye to the old laundry tub in favour of an all-in-one utility sink, cabinet & faucet we found at Home Depot. We installed open shelves on the rear wall, as well as a floating storage shelf & partial plank wall with storage hooks we placed opposite each other along the entry walls.
Add to that a of couple of drying racks for hanging storage, some backsplash tile & a few fresh coats of paint, and the laundry room went from a boring under-functioning space to a comfortable room that makes doing laundry feel a lot less like a chore!
