We decided to tackle our first DIY home project. We took the doors off of our cabinets, for a more open look. We re-purposed some solid core oak doors that we found at a Restore, and made them into our new counter tops. We used 2 coats of conditioner, 4 coats of stain, and 4 coats of poly. We used small strips of wood that we painted and sealed to use for the back splash. I am very happy with the results, plus I got to use the project as a great reason to buy a Ryobi table saw and circular saw!
