Kitchen Remodel

After remodeling every other part of the house, it was finally time to get rid our kitchen nightmare! We had four days, a tiny budget, and just my wonderful girlfriend and I to do all the work. My Ryobi ripsaw and a big sledge made short work old cabinets. The worst part was cutting a trench in the foundation for power cable, but my Ryobi Circular saw and a diamond blade handled the job. We started the build out on day two, and once I had the walls back up, and the bases down, the cabinets installed pretty easily. Leveling and seaming the laminate counters on the other hand... not so much. Day three was spent building the island/bar and then laying down the laminate sheets which was easy but insanely tedious. Day four, was a flurry of spackle, paint, molding and trim work (thank you Ryobi miter saw), and installing the appliances. We didn’t bust the budget too bad but we did spend the following two weekends sanding, floating new mud, and kicking ourselves for rushing the drywall work… Oh well, now we have our dream kitchen.
