Kingsize Master Bed

After building my first project, which happened to be a guest bed, a friend of mine asked if I would be willing to build her a bed for her master bedroom. Although I was extremely excited I was more than a little nervous. She didn't have a specific design except, "kind of like this and really tall." The "this" she referred to were pictures of 3 completely different style beds. So I hesitantly drew up what I thought I could build, showed it to her and she was ready to get started. During the process I showed her one picture of the headboard, just to make sure we were at least kind of on the same page. She said she loved it so I just kept going. The end result surprised even me. I love this bed more than anything I have built! It was incredibly fun to build, and an even better gift to see her face when she saw it for the first time.
