I am 6'6'' and it was hard to find a comfortable bed frame for my wife (4'10'') and I. I designed this frame to be low to the ground for her and plenty long for me. I included 4 drawers for added storage. The only tools used were an 18V Ryobi drill, 18V Ryobi circular saw, router, kreg jig, and sander. I built this frame on my dorm porch before we got married and assembled it for the first time in our new apartment.

  • Excellent concept and execution. Just one recommendation - some matress manufacturers specify that slats should be evenly spaced with a gap between them not to exceed 1". Congrats!

  • How do I get this plan?
