Inspired by the traditional farmhouse look this bed was the perfect balance of desire and necessity. My wife and I are expecting our first daughter and to prepare she decided we needed a bigger bed. In the midst of a move into our first home and prenatal classes I broke out the tools determined to build versus buy. Constructed entirely from simple construction quality pine, some basic cuts, and finding its structure from principle pocket holes. The entire projects ran only about $250 in lumber and stain. Overall in two days my wife got the bed of her dreams and I got to bring a piece of furniture into our home that will last for years.
