I really wanted to build a raised bed, and after months of research, from how to's and the type of wood, I finally made a decision. This was the first piece I have ever built, along with using a drill. The challenge came with using reclaimed Juniper (which will last 50+ years) is that because it is reclaimed, it has imperfections. Most of the time on this project was spent trying to get the boards in the right order so that they fit best as some had slight curves or bowed in/out a bit. Having the four supporting corner posts definitely helped to make it as even as possible. I also installed PVC on the inside so that I can create a hooped garden for the winter.
